Ive seen the video where you feed milo the mouse but just curious is that all his diet consist of? Is it only mice and meat or do you give him some other kind of food too?

Copied from "Alligator Snapper Primer" in the chat section....LOL

Feeding:
Alligator snappers are opportunistic feeders that sometimes get very chunky in captivity due to an unnatural diet. Milo’s diet consists of the following:
80% Aquatic Vertebrates and Invertebrates: Fish (of all kinds), Shrimp (Raw shell on), Whole Krill, Tadpoles, Frogs, crawfish, shelled clams, occasional squid.
10% Red Meat: Whole Mice, Lean cuts of steak (LEAN), Beef heart.
10% Vegetable Matter: Aquatic plants such as elodea (anacharis) or Romain Lettuce. These items may or may not be eaten depending on the turtle.

I love Milo!!!!!!!!!!!

The kids across the street found on of these Milo things but it's a real small baby. I offered them a crapload of money for it but they will not give it to me. I am so mad. I would seriously consider stealing it from them if they were not all under the age of 8. Just burns me up every time I see them that they have a Milo and I do not!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE MILO!!!!!

BTW, yes I have been to the dentist and am medicated. You have been warned!

LOL...Meli, Like stealing candy from a baby? Too funny.

A word of caution though, Alligator Snappers are protected in thier native lands, so if you find one....best to release it.

On the other hand CB ones pop up for sale on Kingsnake.com quite frequently and you won't have to steal one from the neighbor kids then. LOL And you'll be halping keep the wild population up.

Cheers!

I know Meli, I know.....if it makes you feel any better, about a year ago I was fishing and some kids caught a little snapper about 4 inches wide, and threw it in thier bait-bucket.....well while thier backs were turned I snuck up on them and snagged the turtle and let go...LOL Betcha they were suprised! LOL
