Little Johnny is outside playing with his friends, while his mother is upstairs taking a shower. Just as Johnny's mother steps out of the shower, Johnny appears to ask his mother for a snack. Upon seeing her step out of the tub, he gasps and points. "What is that?" he asks. "Oh, um, that's my sponge," is his mother's reply. "Go on back outside and play with your friends." Little Johnny's snack forgotten, he returns outside. His mother goes downstairs to the kitchen to fix lunch. Little Johnny runs inside followed by his friends. "Mommy, Mommy, show my friends your sponge!" he cries. "Oh, um, I can't Johnny," his mother returns. "I, uh, lost it." Disappointed, little Johnny and his friends return outside. Just as little Johnny's mother is about to call the children in for lunch, little Johnny runs inside again. "Mommy, Mommy, I found your sponge!" he hollers. Little Johnny's mother is curious. "You did?" she asks. "Well, where is it?"
"The next door neighbor, Mrs. Brown, has it. She's washing Daddy's face," is Johnny's reply.
