LOL....see I had cute things too. One I've always wanted to try is Sugar Gliders....now those are neat! But the $200 price tag for a flying rat always stops me. LOL

That would be why we have VERY strict rules regarding Lori's dogs with the large snakes.

Yes sir...they are insectivorous mammal, crickets, mealworms, grubs, ect.ect. Of course they also have the "hedge hog" diet....but watching them chase down bugs is a lot of fun. LOL

LOL, well now just to clear....cute they are, but those spines aren't just for looks, luckily though they aren't like a porcupine's Hedge Hog Spines aren't barbed, and usually don't detach from them....but are still sharp, you'll feel them even through welding gloves (used when they get a little upset)

Ehhhhh, LOL I don't really consider them a "cuddley pet" more of interesting oddity of the mammal world. LOL While I've held them before, it's not what I would consider a pleasurable experience, even when relaxed the quills are VERY sharp, brush them the wrong way and you instantly feel like a 1,000 pins are poking you in the hand, of course this sensation was only exasperated by the fact that the oily substance on there quills was something that I was alergic too so when I got stuck my hand would itch and break out into hives...LOL Which ultimately was the deciding factor for it finding another home.
Still he was cool watch. LOL
