Quick and easy Diagram for wiring up a SpotBulb type fixture with a dimmer switch, fast, cheap and effective!

Been using this style with a lot of my snakes for years, takes care of backround heating and the hotspot all in one, the Spot bulb Directs enough heat downward to heat the floor of the cage producing the hot spot, extra heat flows through the rest of the cage taking care of the backround temperature.

Don't forget to shield the bulb cuz it can cause some nasty burns, spots get very hot!

Very true!
I just made this up as just a diagram for the wiring part of it. But yes all heat sources should have a barrier of some kind to keep reptiles of any kind from coming into direct contact with the bulb.

like the look o that may use it in my own way adapt u know me brad:D i always change it abit 1 Q tho wots the plugs still 3 o do u use an adaptor

You can use it in anyway you see fit.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about the plug....the 2 prong plug just plugs into a normal wall socket, I just don't use 3 prongs on this setup.
