great looking snake
Thank you for the compliment. They are truly a blessing to own and bring a lot of love into my life. May sound corny but they really do teach us a lot about patience, tolerance, compassion and improves ones ability to be more alert and for sure improves our reflexes. LOL
I love Boas and also adore my male and female Ball Pythons. :o)
Thank you again :o)

How do you clean the carpet in the cage?

How do you clean the carpet in the cage?
I pretty much have it lined with heavy cardboard to prevent any moisture from getting into the wooden floor. The carpet is tight woven and real easy to take a fine wire brush to so if they have any blood shed or by some freak accident relieve themselves on it, which seldom happens, I first wipe it with a damp paper towel, and then dry the spot off with a soft dry cloth and once the spot has dried,(usually within fifteen minutes and once in awhile I may have to take a hair dryer to it to insure it's totally dry)I take a fine wire brush and smooth it around and vacuum it. I do however replace it every six months to prevent any mold or bacteria from growing in the event it does maintain any moisture within the under padding.
The Argentines usually almost always go potty on the bottom cage level on their newspapers but occasionally at the most all I get on the carpeting is maybe blood from a rat.

Nosey my female is five years old and Grumpy, my male is also five years old. They are great companions. As well they are on Appendix1 endangered species list so makes them even more valuable to me other than the fact that I love having them in my life.
