When we purchased and researched our skink, we were told that they were omnivorous, but BOY does he certainly have a preference for insects! Usually he just dumps over/run's through any salad I put in there, but appeared to eat some squash today. I wonder if they are like the bearded dragons, who are predominantly insects while they are young, and grow more fond of their veggies as they mature...
Anyone with more Skink experience?

You're up a little late for a pregnant lady! LOL Just kidd'n.
Skinks will take moving food over salads given the choice, as you have already observed they actually prefere more the actual Vegetables and Fruits then the "Leafy" stuff. If you want him to eat more this type of food, try not offering moving prey at the same time as the veggies. Switch off every couple of days. Also If I remember correctly your BT is fairly young yet?
Young animals tend to eat live and moving prey....they don't get into the Veggies and what not till they reach sexual maturity..usually.
