Man he is cute and kick a$$.

If only they stayed so small! I'd have on for sure.

How often do you feed him? And is it a varied diet?

Thanks B

LOL, well if it helps they are pretty slow growers...LOL

He usually eats 2 to 3 times a week, but always has live fish to go after if he wishes. Pretty varied diet, mostly consisting of aquatic Vertabrates fish, frogs, tadpoles and invertabrates like crayfish, shrimp, snails, squid, ect. Some red meat in the form of mice, lean strips of beef or beef heart....takes some plant matter every once inawhile too...but he isn't real big on that stuff.

Currently he's about 8" along the back. Housed in a 75 gallon aquarium with a 3 stage pressurized filter system. Not sure what I'm going to house him when he get bigger but I'll think of something..LOL

when you say 3 stage pressurized filter, you have any pics?? is it like a canister filter, or like a drinking water filter w/ a pump, sediment, carbon, and a UV or something??

(im big into fish tanks so im familiar with alot of filter systems)

Ahhhh, well then, this will be no trouble for you at all, it's hard to see the 1st chamber in the pic right behind that cabinet support, but basically this is just a modified LifeGaurd system, 1st stage mechanical, second Chemical, and the 3rd tube (was made for a heater, but I capped the top and filled it with biological filtration material, when I move him to his permanent home, I will be adding a UV steralizing unit as well.
