Nice snakes Brad. I really like how light your larger barneck is. Also, it's nice to see other people with Macklot's pythons. In my opinion they are the most underrated python. Do you have a pair of them or just one?

Thanks Blake!
I just have the one female, I've been thinking about picking up a male though since they are a dime a dozen. LOL I actually really like them, I think the speckling and irridescence is really cool.

Thanks man! The smaller red one is a Barneck as well, they start out as reddish colored hatchlings and change colors as they mature, sometimes takes a few years before they get thier true colors in.

Yeah you should get a male, haha. They are easy to breed and are fun to breed. I really am trying to do what I can to get people to realize how cool this species is. They are not just an ugly brown snake and they are not usually as nasty tempered as most people think they are. On top of that they are great feeders and are easy to take care of.

I just may do that man! LOL Ohhh I agree completely man, they have tans, greens, browns and grays....anywhere from heavily speckled to hardly at all...nice Yellow bellies...I really like the way they look! I know the youngsters tend to be little chainsaws, but man as she grew up she's real easy to handle, never strikes at all. LOL....and eat.....yeah, she'd never quit if given the opportunity!LOL Another nice thing is they get good sized, but overly so, so they still fairly easy to house. I agree with ya completely great species to keep!

I'm a little late on this post Brad, but man that is a great looking barneck ! Mine was a WC adult male, so he never really lost that defensive disposition unfortunately. Next time I'll go for a young animal

Well thank ya sir.
Yeah he's a fun one to handle....I don't expect he'll tame down, now that CB female I have she's just a peach! It's like a night and day difference.

The pair of souhterns I had were the same way. female was quite managable(as long as you kept your eyes on her, lol). Yet the male was not too hospitable, lmao.
had a pair of mack's that were opposite.... the male was good to go...but the female would light you up in a heartbeat, lol.

LOL....just like to throw you for a loop every once in awhile huh?
Ya know a while back I heard someone say something about how females were more docile.....I just don't buy it, I think it's all on an individual basis, I've had males and females tame as tame can be and mean as hell it just depends on the snake I think.
