As you all know,im very paranoid when it has to do with my princess!.Please tell me snakes have saliva.I noticed when i took my burm out that she had a few what looked to be air bubbles after sticking out her tounge. It wasnt gooy or didnt look like anything out of this world,it simply looked like quite a few air bubbles and they were white. She was taken to the vet about a month ago and her temp. and humidity are perfect!.I seriously am trying not to panic,i love her with all my heart....i sound pretty girly i know, lol. Please guys help asap!

Sounds like maybe a mild RI - there aren't usually bubbles on the tongue - it is just wet.

It could just be she drank not too long ago prior to your see'ing it. Or she could have a slight abrasion in the mouth or something minor. I'd say just keep an eye on her and see what happens. If all husbandry has been good, then its most likely nothing. But just watching her and making sure to look for anything will help if it is something.

Jim knows better than I do - but Id definitely keep a real close eye on her. How does her breathing sound?

One thing I forgot to add earlier. They can also have a few little bubbles at the tip of their mouth from hissing. If they his kinda hard/loud, everyonce in a while there may be a little spittle. Thank's Lori. :)

Seeing as how you got this burm with burn marks on it shows me that its previous owner did not take very good care of it.

Now I don't know how long between that owner and you it has been. But I would get a vet to check on her just be safe. Who knows what kind of temps she was exposed to.

Well lets get something straight, the previous owner was a very experienced herpotologist and kept that snake healthy as can be,according to his vet.The owner thought he could trust some idiot with her and then the idiot used a heat rock, simple and common mistake.Yeah i dont see any more of the bubbles after she soaked. But what i wanted to ask was,and yall dont have to answer if you dont feel like answering but, when a snake has a respiratory infection, they are weezing nonstop or can they control it?She wasnt weezing but after she throws the usual loud hiss at me,she began to sound like a fat man breathing hard and i observed it for about 10 seconds and then it was gone.I think shes just breathing hard to intimidate me,what do you guys think?

Short answer...No.

Just because a snake has a RI doesnt mean it has to weeze all the time. If its early you might not hear the snake weeze. Think of when your getting a cold. It doesnt happen all at once. Im not saying your snake has an RI, im just saying what everyone else said, Keep an eye on her. There are people on here that are much more experienced than me but im not new to this. Please dont think people on here dont want to answer your questions, we do. At the same time, please keep in mind, its hard to diagnose(sp?) something when it is typed on a forum so we have to ask a lot of questions sometimes. If the animal was in front of us it would be much easier to know what was going on.

The previous owner may have been a great keeper but as you said he trusted an idiot to take care of the snake. What did the idiot do? Temps? Food? You stated he used a heat rock. Common mistake? Yes! Proof the idiot could have let the temps drop to low for to long? Mabey.

I hope im not coming across the wrong way. I mean well. Just cuting to the chase as best I can.

Yes theyw ill huff and puff in hopes of scaring you off. And sometimes this will cause their throat to look a little bigger than usual from the air being forced out so quickly to make a louder hiss.

Soundslike thats what you may have saw, the spittle from some good ol' hissin. BUt definately keep an eye on her to be safe(dont think we gotta worry about that not happening eh? lol j/k).:D
