OK, some of you guys in the poker room requested these, so here they are! ;)
The pup Swordsman and I are to get in January (he is 1 day old in this pic). He is 95.5% timberwolf and 4.5% Malamute:

Him at 2 weeks old:

His sibling at 2 years old from the same parents:

The female we already own, who's 4 years old. She's 85% timberwolf and 15% German Shepherd:

Here are some current pics of our future wolfpup. He is 3 weeks old in both of these pics. The people who have him now are sending pics every week so we can watch him grow with them! ;)
Swordsman and I decided to name him Torolf, which in Norse means "Thor's Wolf." Hubby is all into Viking stuff, so it fits well!

Thanks to everyone! I hope he gets really big . . . just like his brother in the earlier pics. :D Our female kicked a full grown male pit bull's butt when she was 6 months old, and he was meaner than sh!t! He got loose and attacked her, and she sure gave better than she got! By nature she is very friendly (she would lick you to death before she ever hurt anyone), but she sure stands her ground! I like that about her, and I hope Torolf will be the same way: friendly but you better not p!ss him off . . . kinda like me! But the people we are buying him from says he's being raised in a very friendly environment, so he should be great with people! I can't wait to get him . . . ;)

He is adorable! I love wolf-dog mixes. The mama and brother are gorgeous too. They're too strict in Texas. I think the max wolf allow is 25%. I could be wrong but I know its nowhere near what yours is. Lucky you!

Thanks for the comment! But actually, the female pictured above is not the mommy; she is the dog we intend to breed the pup to when he is big enough. Sorry for the confusion on that one! ;) The pup is not yet in our possession. We have a hefty deposit down on him though! ;)
Our laws here do not regulate wolf hybrids at all. The only law we have is that you can't own a 100% wolf. However, Tennessee sucks as far as snake laws go . . .

When we went to pick him up, we got to see the daddy--talk about a huge dog! The daddy is a 100% wolf, and he was gorgeous! I wish we could keep 100% timberwolves here, but oh well. Torolf is as close as we'll probably get and still be legal! ;)
looking forward to pics of that big baby!
Here they are Lori (and everyone else ;)), as promised:

LOL @ Brad. Yeah, his eyes are in the process of changing colors. He was blue-eyed of course, but I think his eyes are gonna be brown when all is said and done.
My friend's boyfriend had a timberwolf/malamute mix and he said that dog got to around 200-225 pounds! I hope Torolf gets that big! :D Time will tell, I suppose. ;)
And guys, I have taken more pics, but I haven't yet had the chance to download on the computer, upload to photobucket, etc, etc yet. I have a new puppy in the house, ya know, and he's worse than having a baby to care for! ;)

However, currently, the waiting list is 3 years unless you get lucky when you call like we did. They had a cancellation on one that was reserved, and it just so happened to be a boy (which is what we were wanting).
Thanks for the comments! Very much appreciated! I can't wait until my puppy outgrows his poop/pee in the floor stage . . . ;) But he is learning, so one day I can quit cleaning all the time . . . ! But he is cute, so it's hard to stay mad for long! ;)
Thankx for the link,:D:D
I checked it out, along with others, some of the picture I have seen on the pages, Looks just like mine I have, He is a Black phase. But, I am down to 1 now. So, I need to be on the look out.
You need to start new post so we can see LOTS of pictures from you.
(hint, hint):p:p

I know this is kind of an impolite question but I am curious to know how much the pup was?????? I pulled up the link and it never gave a pricing variance.
Cannot wait to watch him grow. :D

Wow...three year wait. Thats crazy! I can understand why though, wolves are absolutely stunning animals and a malamute is a cool dog too. He is gorgeous as is his brother. I would love to get one and was also curious how much these things run. I would imagine they could charge quite a bit considering the high demand. Good luck with him and I can't wait to see pics in a few months when he gets bigger! Dan M.

Wow! I can't believe I missed your post! And yours, too, Christine. I am so sorry. Thanks so much for your comments on him! He is a big, lovable teddy bear. As for cost, I paid $600 for him from Wolftrack Acres, and that's on the low end. Everyone else was asking $900+ each. I also had to go to North Carolina to pick him up as they would not ship.

I will get some current pics of him up ASAP, I promise. Today I've dealt with getting a fresh clutch of eggs in the incubator and fighting with the Adobe FlashPlayer 9 update . . . right now I'm ready to toss this computer out the window! But I will try to get some up tomorrow.

Please excuse the old wooden doghouse; it is an old one that used to belong to our dog that died some time ago. My hubby had had him since he was in 7th grade, and still couldn't bear to get rid of his old house. ;) And Rajah's doghouse is half-buried because she wants it that way. She's a wolf mix after all, and she wants a "den" rather than a "doghouse." ;)

Btw, I'll be breeding mine in about 1.5-2 years . . . you'll have to drive to TN though to pick it up. I won't ship 'em. ;) I shudder to think how a dog would be treated on a trip by a shipper . . .
