new roommates

recently, i have put my 8 ft male red tail and my 6 ft female redtail together in the same tank to breed (we'll see). im wondering if i should be worried about them fighting or being unhappy w/ another snake in their house. they have always been in the same tank, but it just had a divider in it (its a custom made 8 ft by 6 1/2 ft tank) so they have always smelled eachother. when they are out of the tank together, they are best friends, lovers even. lol. but im worried ( especially about my female, she's b*tchy) about them getting stressed out.
any advice would be apprecieated.....oh... its only been a few days since they were put together. my female wont come down from her tree. only to eat or drink or poop.

Boas are generally pretty relaxed when it comes to introductions.....if they don't see eye to eye (so to speak) they usually just hang out in differnt sections of the cage....never had a pair go after eachother in a hostile manner.

However if you don't see the male searching out the female you may want to seperate them after a week....then feed them and reintroduce a week later....kind of gives them some breathing room every once in awhile....but if you see him starting to persue her....just let him buck, sometimes takes a little chasing to get those girls in the mood...LOL

u might even notice a even more relaxed envirement and them staying close or ontop another. usually pairs get valong fine its adding another male u have to wach.
