Here's a quick video I took on my camera to try and capture the noise the black-footed ferrets make when they're angry. Which is a lot of the time. :-)

AWWWW...that's too cute! I had a ferret till about a month ago...I let my cousin have him...too risky keeping him in a small apt with 14 snakes lol Aren't black footed ferrets really polecats? Or am I wrong about that?

I believe the European ferret is also known as the polecat...the black-footed ferret is an endangered north American species, the only wild ferret.

It's kinda funny. Until you posted about them I had no idea we even had wild ferrets here.

They're not really one of the poster child endangered species, like the bald eagle or giant panda. They have a pretty limited range here in the west, and of course until recently there were not very many at all. So a lot of people don't know about them--don't feel bad! Lol. I didn't learn about them until some time in my college career.

Cool ferret! I have always had a weakness for them. I have had one or two for about all my life. People keep giving them to me and I never say no.:)
