the weirdest thing happened today when i feed my burms my normal started at the ass instead of the head (full size mouse). has this ever happen to anyone here? Will my burm just digest the mouse as normal? sorry couldnt find my camera to take a pic.

My crazy Burm would eat bum first, head first, foot first and even just try side first. He has tried side first with rabbits and even has gotten it down like that. They can be very greedy at times and stubborn I find. I just let him to it and he'll either figure it out or pay the price for being stupid. What else are you going to do? I have gone to check on him and found him still trying to sort it all out after an hour and a half. He can be so stupid at times! He always manages though. These are not items that are too big for him either...he just goes goofy for no reason like he doesn't know how to eat.

Lol yup everything will go just fine. If it was small enough for him to swallow backwards, all is well. Makes no difference in digestion. Sometimes my snakes do this too. I think they get fed up trying to find the head and just get started. I had one try to eat leg first, but it didn't work. :p

Butt end first isn't a big deal until they are on rabbits really. Typically rats/mice feet dont do any damage on the way down. But there is the possibility a rabot claw could cause injury if eaten backwards.

If feeidng F/T make sure the head of the prey item is good and wamr. That way they have a focal point to nail when they take it, or if left alone iwth it. :)
