Came up with this simple fix the age old problem! LOL I was looking into this because I have a 2 year old and opening drawers isn't much of a challenge anymore....LOL Though I could see this application being usefull to people who keep hots in racks.
Basically this is just a "Clevis Pin" the hole is drilled through the board and into the lip of the rubbermaid. (Pin has holes pre-drilled) Insert the pin, add a lock...done. Pretty easy fix.

Very nice Brad. i was gonna suggest pins. That would be GREAT for folks with kids as you mentioned.:D
Great idea!!! I've seen it done where the bar goes from top to bottom of the rack, securing every tub and using one lock. But this is a great idea. Also, I've seen a clear door on the front that locks. Thanks for sharing...I really like this!!

Thanks guys!
Ya know I thought about the bar....but then you lock/unlock all of them. the head of this style pin is very low profile, so even when the pin is in, the drawer above a locked drawer will slide right over the head while leaving the rest locked up. Works pretty nice...plus keeps the drawer in place in case you have some bruisers that figure out how to push a drawer open...LOL
Ohhh and I wasn't keen on the doors, kind of looks like it would constrict a lot of airflow....so I went this route.

Excellent idea! Can we find these pins in home improvement stores, or are they hard to find?

Should be real easy to find, I got them from Menard's in the section where they keep the pressure pins, cotter pins, ect. Not a hard to find piece of hardware at all.

Please oh please don't swell Brad's head . . . :D Just kidding Brad! ;)
Very nice idea! My Spazzy girl hasn't quite grasped the concept of pushing her tub open yet, but she might just figure it out one day. Could prove the be a very useful tool for me one of these days too!
