Ok, my daughter bought an itty bitty green anole today. So, I was wondering what all I need to know about them if any of yall know anything about them. I'm guessing it's about 3 or 4 inches long. They said that it eats medium sized crickets. I know they need heat and water (duh) but that's all I know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a fast little bugger too. Dang thing jumps like crazy and is hard to hold on to. How do you get these things used to being handled when ya can barely hold on to it in the first place? Lol!!

Anoles do need UVB. Make sure to have lots of plants and cover. Anoles rarely will drink out of a standing water dish, they tend to drink off the leaves and/or glass on the tank. So misting the cage good daily is need for drinking and keeping the hummidity up. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions :)

True on all counts.
I would also like to add Anoles are definitely not a "handling" lizard....they rarely of ever tame down and usually take off running at the slightest provication. Most of the time the 2 finger behind the head pin works best for moving them.
Used to run mine in the low 80s during the day, with a hotspot of 88/90, humidity around 60%
