Personally I use Reptile Relief.....had reall good luck with that stuff.....take 5 to 6 weeks to completely cure them, but it works!
By chance it is a wood cage?
Those little buggers can hide in the smallest cracks! It sucks.....

My Burmese had Mites sometime back and here is what I did to get rid of them. Now, I know everyone is not going to agree with the way I did it, but it worked for me.
I'm not telling you to do this. I'm just offering an opinion.
I made sure to have no mites under the chin of the snake and check the eye caps for mites. If you have any in these places remove them. Then, I took and filled a tub up with warm water and put a couple drops of dish soap in the water and mixed it around. I then put the snake into the water and let soak for 2 hours.
I then removed the snake and sprayed "Mite-Off" into a rag and wiped the snake down with it from head to tail.
I then put a very thin coat of olive oil on the snake and let the snake sit for about 1 hour.
Then I re-soaked the snake in some warm fresh water for 1 hour. Making sure all the oil was off and it got a nice soak.
This did work for me and it was months ago and I still see no trace of mites.
The Olive oil did make a few scales fall off though honestly. So, be careful with that.
Don't worry the scales have grown back and she is pretty as ever. Only a few fell off.
Also, if at all possible I would put her in a rubber-maid of some kind. They are easy to pick up and clean and there are not a lot of cracks and places for the little mites and eggs to hide.
I would use some kind of paper substrate like all white paper-towels, this way mites are easily spotted and clean up is easy.
This is just my opinions and how I got rid of the mites I had.
Good luck.

David stole my words. But if you clean out the cage, make sure theres no hide outs, water bowl etc etc. If she takes a rinse in her water bowl the oil or what you put on the snake will come right off and it wont work. Goodluck! Oh and another thing I did was put in 2-3 drops of the Lice cure IN the cage not on the snake.

hey i use a flea spray that they sell at lowes or home depot and probably walmart too. its called enforce or enforcer, something like that. its in a red and white jug. juggalo recommended it to me and also i dont know if you have heard of alan bosch but he is one of the biggest ball python breeders in the southeast and that is what he uses on his pied balls.
i just clean their cage and spray everything down with that, i mean soak it and then let it sit for about 15 mins. i wipe it out and then listerine it so get rid of some of the fumes(listerine is another recommenation from the beardens). i put the news paper back in and then i replace the snake. once the snake is back in i spray down their body being careful not to get it directly on their head(i dont think it would hurt them but just in case). this stuff kills them with one application, it is awesome! you can also spray down the floor and stand they the cage is on just to be sure you got them. if you have any questions on what the name actually is just send me a message and i will get back to you. it really works i have been using it for about 2 yrs. good luck

Ok your just wasteing you time. Oils and cream are silly because they will not kill all the mites, just the ones on the snake.
Go to Wal-Mart and pick up Repel Permanone, it is the best mite killing stuff you can buy. I clean my all my snakes cages once a month with Repel Permanone and I have yet to see a single mite in any of my snakes enclosures.

Follow these steps
1. Take every snake out of the room and put them in holding containers until the treatment is done.
2. Take all the waterbowls out of each cage.
3. I leave the substrate in the cages to be sprayed
4. Spray each cage until their is a fog like mist in the cage, then I close the cage and let it sit for an hour.
5. After an hour has passed I open the cage and let the cage and the room air out for an hour or until the heavy fumes have passed.
6. I wipe down the cages with fresh paper towl just to be sure that the cage is not still wet from the spray.
7. After that hour is up I put the animals and waterbowls back in their cages, the small amount of fumes still in the cage kills any mites that might have been on the snake.
