Hey guys, My mother was asking a question that ..well I didnt know the answer to. She asked why doesnt the mothers eggs stay with the mom? All I said was, that the babies gotta stay in the incubater to make sure they actually do live.:noidea:

It is possible to let a mother python incubate the eggs, however you must be EXTREMELY diligent on watching the cage temperatures and humidity, and even then the hatch rate may not be as great.
So for the sake of convenience most people incubate artificially which allows them to keep a better eye on the development of the eggs, and in most cases increases the hatch rate.

also it is better for momma snake it is the differance in them eating after they lay the eggs or after the eggs hatch i like the idea of mom eating as soon as possible because they look pretty rough after laying the eggs so the sooner they eat tthe better

The mom usually is curled up on the eggs. You gotta take her head and gently take her off and put her in another cage ready for her. She wouldnt be pissed as long as you got a Rabbit ready for her;):D
