Oh my gosh - I know exactly what you mean! My aunt came down from Michigan and was telling me this story about a snake in her yard - and she is telling it me, knowing about my reptiles, and the story keeps going on and on and I am expecting her to say "and the snake got away" or she called someone to remove it - but no - she tells me about how she decapitated the poor little thing with a shovel. My only response to her was I hoped her house would get infested with rodents!
