Poor leos :(, atleast they have a good home now :). One thing I would really reccomend is removing the sand crap, go with slate rock, tiles, paper towels,or newspaper.

Indeed, I saw that recommendation when I read your care sheet that I posted up. I've kept Leos on sand for many, many, many years.....never had any issues, this is however temporary, I will be doing a a live plant desert Viv. for them this upcoming weekend hopefully. But thanks for your concern.

It's cool Jason, I'm more of a naturalist, I can't see how thousands of years of evolution and living on substrates be it sand, bark, dirt, ect. Then you throw them in the cage with the same stuff and bam everyone screams impacts! IMPACTS! LOL From my experience people who experience impaction problems with their Reps usually have some sort of underlying issue, such as feeding a sand boa a wet pinky that gets caked with sand, or a nutritionally starved leopard gecko that eats sand purposely to try and squeeze some calcium out of it. I've kept literally Hundreds of species all on natural type substrates, never once have I had one keel over from a gut impact, as long as things are watched and monitored there shouldn't be an issue at all.
However, everyone has their thing, I have no problem with people keeping them on paper towels, or whatever, everyone has got their thing.

I agree BUT there is one small thing, people that use sand always say its natural but the truth is just plain loose sand is not really natural for leos. They live on rocky areas along with the ground being more of a hard packed clay/sand mix.. So really slate rock or other flat rock would be most natural, a hard pack sand/clay would also be natural. I personally dont bother with either because when you have lots of leos its much easier to use something like paper towels. If I only had 1-2 leos I would go with a natural slate type set-up :).

True enough man, they do tend to inhabit rocky desert areas and savanahs. But like I said temperary.....and haven't had a problem with it yet.

Cool, cant wait to see the new set-up :)
Good lookin' little geckos there Brad!!! Even though they are way common, I still love 'em!!
And on the substrate, I've used sand in the past with no probs and we currently have a leo at the zoo that we got in the early 80's that has lived her whole life on sand without a single and she's still going strong!! But to each their own.

Yeah that one is a bit thin, but it's been getting better.
I was told they were a male and female, haven't taken the time to look for sure yet though.
