First of all my wife is the coolest! I never would have been able to get these guys if she didn't save the day! Thanks, babe!
My pair of Rhacodactylus leachianus. Whoo hoo! Can you tell I'm excited? For those that are unfamiliar with them, leachies, New Caldonian Giant Geckos, belong to the same genus as Crested Geckos, Rhacodactylus. They are the largest living geckos in the world. (This of course is debatable, but generally accepted.) I've wanted leachies for a while. Mary calls them "scream-a-sauras" because they make a growl like they just came from the gates of hell. lol. Here they are:

<G> See, all I have to do to look good is show up with an extra Debit card at precisely the right moment <giggle>.
Seriously, these guys are wild, the male looks like he has about 4x the required amount of skin!
Somehow Michael will have to upload the file he has from the zoo when the keeper got them out, and that was a quiet day, they have this growling scream that is just insane to be coming out of such a small mouth!
Michael said ours probably wouldn't scream because we will have them from babies. I asked if we could teach them...
