This man is one of the greatest I have Delt with and the longest deal I have ever made.

In Aug 2005 I ordered a male hypo from Joe. I sent a deposit to hold the snake. I had the snake paid off somewhere around the end of January 2006. We waited for the weather to clear up in New Jersey for a good shipping date. In the end of March the weather was not bad and shipment was made for Friday the 24th of March 2006. On the day of shipment I got a call from the Delta desk in Dallas and they told me the plane had mechanical problems in Cincinnati, OH. There was also a freak snow storm that had grounded all planes from leaving. I asked the people I was on the phone with in Dallas if my snake had been moved indoors in Cincinnati. They told me yes. I got a call next from Joe and told him I had just talked to the people in Dallas and knew what was going on. The next day when the plane arrived in Dallas I was late getting to the airport to pick up the snake. When I had arrived at the desk they had a hard time finding the package but produced it 30 min. later. I had opened the box and to my dismay the snake was DOA.

I called Joe and let him know. I filled out the claim sheet with the Delta reps and drove the 5 hours home.

I got an insurance check from Delta on June 30th of 2006 and quickly sent it off to Joe. We had then made arrangements to get me another hypo from his next clutch of hypos the following season. Time had gone by and I got an e-mail on Aug 4th that he had a hypo ready for me and would like to ship it at the end of Aug, start of September to me. I was all good with this until the Texas National Guard sent me to Air Assault school the first 2 weeks of September 2006. So Shipping got delayed again. Then weather got to cold for shipping in New Jersey. So we waited till after winter.
Joe had moved during this time and was going Through his own personal chaos of moving all of his snakes and home to a new location. So again we got delayed. He also had snake shows he was doing and one days that we found it good to ship for me was bad for him and vice versa.
Finally we had a good date for both of us. 19 July 2007 (mind you this is almost 2 years after I sent the deposit in). I drove to El Paso to pick up the snake I had paid for. Joe also told me he had a shirt in the box for me. I got to the Airport 3 hours early to find out it was delayed 30 min or so. I got nervous. The box go there and I opened it. There was my male hypo in great condition. I went back in the box to look for the shirt and to my suprise there was ANOTHER SNAKE. It said poss het hypo female on top of the deli dish. I was stunned. I called Joe to let him know that the snakes had arrived in great condition. He told me he threw in the female to possibly give me a jump on producing some awesome hypos.

To me this shows the dedication of Joe Compel to stand behind his reptiles, his name and the shipper he used. I would do business with Joe again in a heart beat. He always had top notch service and answered my phone calls and e-mails as soon as he could. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a good morph ball python!

I've exchanged e-mails with Joe a couple years ago about his hypo balls, and sure thought he seemed like a great guy. I love his hypo lines too.
