Has anyone here EVER delt with Constrictors West????????

A good friend of mine just called and said that he may have just got screwed out of a lot of money for a female purple albino Retic. It was an 07 female that was supposed to have been shipped to my friend almost two weeks ago. But due to one reason or another the snake was never sent. Today my friend called and said that the guys cell phone number is now dissconnected and none of his emails have been returned for two days.

Please help! My friend gave up all his savings on this snake. He is planning to file a claim with PayPal and hopes he gets at least some of his money back. I have found nothing on the BOI about Constrictors West so far. I know they keep accounts with Kingsnake.com.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Help guys!

Not sure about Constrictors West, but I did find this on the Paypal website: Disputes between Buyers and Sellers - Buyer Protection Programs (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside#pbp-policy)

Didn't read through it fully, but it sounds like that they can only refund a certain amount of money and certain steps have to be taken.

All I know about them is that Craig L. is the one that owns it, other than that I know nothing else.

Hey don't go trowing a rock in the pond now. I asked for a website and other info so we can all be on the same page, do go throwing people off by tossing another place that is closly named to this one in there. The reptile comunity is a small and tight group. People who are doing good do not need to be in a thread with someone that is doing bad. Thats just not good juju and is how rumors get started.

And after looking at the site, agree with Brad that they are overpriced. I saw some albinos going for less then 500 bucks earlier today. To each their own I guess.....

LOL, there is a Constrictors Northwest, they deal in BPs and Boa Constrictors, some Bloods.....good people, I know they wouldn't pull something like this.

I've done business with Craig... recently. I bought a purple albino female and he threw in a het and even a third that he just decided not to keep. He was easy for me to deal with and it was always easy to get a hold of him. I hope that this deal with your friend is a misunderstanding and gets resolved soon. I would hate to think that he's a bad guy to deal with since he's somewhat local to me.
If this doesn't get resolved please let us all know!!!

Last night I decided to investigate this a bit and I sent an email asking what albino retics they have in stock. I got a reply from Craig at 07:34 this morning telling me that there are male and female albinos in stock but he wanted to check and be sure exactly what he had. I got two more emails stating that he had two males (07 lav and 06 lav) available and to please let him know if I was interested.
My friend called me about 15 minutes ago and said the Craig did call and all he said was that he "Fully intended to ship the animal." Nothing else was said.

To me something seems fishy. He wont communicate with my friend at all but a possible new buyer sends him an email asking about an albino male retic and he's johnny on the spot with the responses.

What gives!?!?!!?!?!? :mad:

She gave me this number.... 951-212-3354. She said it was Craig's (her dad's) cell phone. She said if he does not answer its because he is working, but leave a message and he will call you back. She said its his personal cell.

Ladies and gentleman I think we have a scammer!

I have been receiving emails from Craig several times today regarding what albino Retic males he's got available. YES I am baiting him trying to figure out why he can rip my friend off and not return calls or emails but finds the time through out the day to reply to every email I have sent in very timely manner. Where things get really messed up is when tells me he has an 06 male lavender for sale for $1100. Craig sent me a photo of the male he's offering up.

I spoke with my friend tonight and still he's recived nothing from Craig but a 03/03/08 shipping date sent via paypal message. No carrier or tracking number or reason why he's never called back.

In talking to my good friend tonight I told him I was sent a photo of the 06 lav retic and could I send it to him to ensure this guy wasnt selling me the same snake as what he's supposed to be getting. He received the photo and about fell over and died. Come to find out the 06 male is the same snake that was shown to my friend as the female he's supposed to be getting sire. (I hope that makes sense). So basically this man is lying to me about this 06 male.

Well I guess one thing is the snake in all those 3 pictures is the same snake.

Does look to be more of a "Purple" phase, but the pics are way over saturated....guessing if it were toned out more of normal level it may indeed look like a Lav.

Don't know what to tell you, but I would if your friend doesn't have a snake by 3/4/08 he better get cracking on the PayPal reimbersment.

One thing that I will say that is the most heart breaking for me is that my friend just got back not to long ago from his second tour in Iraq with the Navy and this loser ripped him off! Way to say welcome home and thanks for fighting for our country a$$hole! :mad2::PDT_bur2:

Folks never use a direct bank account for PayPal transactions, unless you like being out money... scammers know how to work the system all too well.

If your friend payed through PayPal with a CREDIT CARD or BankCard, he'll be okay. PayPal, will acknowledge that your friend has been de-frauded, but unless there is $$$ in the seller's account it will stop there. If your friend used a CC or a bankcard (with CC logo), he will have buyer's protection from Visa, MC or whatever. He'll still need to try to resolve through PayPal first a.k.a. file a dispute. Save all the info, including the details of the original transaction etc.

Sorry your friend is going through this.
