Purina Dog Incredible Challenge

Next Friday the 7th, our Dobe Cassanova has been invited to Austin to compete at the Purina Dog Incredible Challenge in the 60 weave pole competition! Cassanova is currently the world recordholder for doing 60 poles in under 12 seconds. This competition is a little different as they do it in knockout elimination rounds vs a total time...

And since I'm too pregnant to run without getting winded, my amazing husband has volunteered to go to the competition and run with Cassanova!!

It's an awesome opportunity, and I'm so thrilled that we get a chance to participate!

We're told that the even will eventually air on ESPN or ESPN2, but there are so many dog events, who knows what will make the cut to air and what will be left on the cutting floor.

How cool! I'm so excited! We have an OB appointment on Thursday the 6th, and then we're off to the show the next morning--Friday is practice and Saturday is the big event!!

Thanks! Hopefully we'll find out after the event when it will air, and then we can keep everyone updated.

Michael is running Cassanova in the challenge because I officially can't run for crap. Even jogging winds me after 40-50 feet. If he wasn't game to go we'd have to pass this year, and since it's an invitational--I'm not sure if we'd be invited back next year--I don't know their criteria...

Then after the competition on Sat we're off to Michael's mom's baby shower on Sunday! It's our last big week of traveling--we'll see how many times I have to stop for the bathroom <groan>.
