Bet many of you have these neighbors around your house. Jim G. these pics are just for u. Here are a couple of two young Elk bulls that were in rut.

and one of the big Elk bull that does all the mating and he just shed his horns yesterday. I found them while i was walking around looking for the herd.

I got a little bull fever just looking at that!!! Jittery hands, increased pulse, a little adrenaline...I almost grabbed my rifle and hid under my desk! I will just have to wait until November, LOL.

Those are pretty neat man. My father in law has a bunch of elk. And people are scared of snakes. Just try being in a pen with one of those things during the rut.

Those are magnificent. You are lucky to be able to look out your door and see an animal like that. Thanks for the pictures. Are they very noisy? I remember seeing a few nature programs where they seemed to be calling a mate. I often wondered how frequently they were vocal.

I remember changing my pants one day and looked outside and there was a big a$$ deer at the window:eek: Ran out the door with pants at the ankles screaming. Hey B! There's some steak walkin! Nice photos!!;)

This brings back memory's of being chased by a really mean Deer in NJ.
