African soft furred rats what is so great about them they are for sale everywhere???

I have a buddy that breeds them.

To the best of my knowledge, they are what Ball Pythons mainly eat in the wild.

I know his Ball Pythons love them. I know a couple of others that feed these to their Ball Pythons too.

Other then that, I really am not sure.

do you think a snake could become hooked on them? and not eat regular rodents

From my understanding they are also easy to breed, and "smell" less than your everday Lab rats. That and they seem to be a good choice for a "trigger" food for fussy eaters.

It is a possibility that a snake could get hooked on them, especially if it were a BP....other snakes would most likely be able to be weaned off of them.
