View Full Version : Taking my "dog" out for a walk

It was time for the water monitor to get out and stretch her legs again and get some different mental stimulation. I took her out on Saturday, put her harness on her and let her cruise the backyard. Keeping her out of the pool and from getting into stuff like climbing the patio furnature and such is not always easy. She is extremely inquisitve now that she doesn't have to worry about being predated upon. When she was 3' long taking her out of he dog crate was impossible. Now I carry her out to the back yard and she just cruises around. She's so cool.

Discalimer: (Don't act like you didn't know this was coming) It's RARE for a monitor to be this tame and accpeting of human contact and be so willing to be outside. Please do not attempt.

Those are some great pictures!!!
Even though I always talk about my retics, one of my favorites of all time has to be the gator I used to have. He was left on my porch at about 12" and I had him for almost 4 years before I had to be a "repsonsible" California citizen and send him to a friend in Florida. He was a sweetheart and loved being out on his leash. At 7' he would lay on the bed or the couch and watch movies with me. Thanks for the pics... brings back good "legged" pet memories ;)

Oh man (I mean women lol) you have the coolest monitors ever! You are the coolest I cant wait till I get my croc,water monitors (hopefully in 10 years lol)

That is one of the funniest looking dogs I have ever seen. Did you shave the hair off of it or is it just some medical condition you aren't filling us in on??:D:D
