Here are some pics I took when I used to volunteer at the Ft. Worth Zoo. Please forgive the bad quality of the photos. It was before I knew what the macro button was for! :o

Great pictures. I don't think they look bad at all. And don't feel bad - I just figured out what my Macro button was last week.

Great, I'm glad everyone likes them. I should have posted them a long time ago. They were taken back in 2005.

One of my duties when volunteering was to clean and feed the 14 young black throats they had in the back. Hence the one picture where one is in a cup. I put them there while clean it's cage. One of my other duties was soaking the tortoises. They were removed from their enclosures and soaked three times a week. That's why they are all in water. The last picture reminds me of synch. swimming. lol.

And I don't even have a macro button on my camera (that I know of ) much less how it works . . .

The macro button is what makes your camera focus up close. That's how some people get such great shots. It often is represented by a flower icon on the camera. If it hadn't been for one of those guys at the zoo three years ago, I would still be baffled how people get such clear pics. :D

I actually got to touch that Komodo. I went with his keeper one day. He tried to climb up my leg. (The Dragon, not the keeper! :D ) I was a little intimidated. He's huge! But the dragon was just curious.

lol. Man your lucky that doesnt happen to much people! lol. I wish I get to pet a komodo one day! At my zoo they have a komodo but I dont like that one that much plus he needs to grow XD even though hes like 6ft lol.

Not yet. I saw some plans they had for it a few years back. If it looks anything like that, I can't wait to see it!
