The Hopper guy was by the bug guy, Duh! But the bug guy was before the hopper guy's table. I never made it to the hopper table before I was broke.
So Brad, If I have this guy or girl, in a 2.5 gallon tank with a homemade screen on it; how much substrate do I put in the tank? All I could find was ecoearth brick which is more wet than I would like so I need to bake off the wetness some when The brick is loose enough to work with. Right now i'd say I have 2 inches in the tank and the tank is 12" long x 6" wide x 8" high.
I have plastic plants in there and an upside down water dish for a hide along with a juice cap for water. The guy who sold me him said he eats large crickets now if that tells you anything.
I do not have any heat on him and my house heating is at 70 degrees. I don't know if I need it or not. I guess I probably do.

Substrate should be just fine, I've used that or something like it with a lot of my Ts...they guys love to dig, so don't be surprised when he hollows out a little den for himself.
70 is pushing the low side, I kept mine around 82 I would work on trying to raise that up some, but be careful not to overheat him. It was easy for me to do as my entire room was that temp.

Yay he's so pretty! Much prettier than hoppers? Though maybe not as practical...who cares! :-)
