Actually they aren't too bad, not like I free-handle them or anything, but they ride the hook decent....and truthfully aren't real quick to strike....they would rather run.

I was just wondering beaise my southern pacific was a crackhead at birth and over time he really improved... for a rattlesnake.

He hates the hook though. I have to trick him into a hide box to get him out

LOL....ya know I've heard that about rattlers....never had the pleasure of working them though.

Generally speaking though I've heard rattlers are bit more high strung.

The one I have was a real spaz when she was young, but she's settled out pretty good...still got watch it when you feed her though she comes flying at ya when that door opens.
