Anyone own any on this forum? I see a lot more theraphosid fans, and wanted to know who had them :p They've been in the US hobby since 2006-2007.

Gee Andrew, I would expect that I may know someone but I can't figure out what species you mean. I was looking up in my snake book and couldn't find anything under theraphosid. :PDT_crazy:But I suppose that being under a spider thread I may be way off track. I don't mind my spiders but I don't know a lot about them.

Theraphosid is the scientific term or name for the family known as bird spiders, aka tarantulas. I was looking to see if anyone owned any animals in the genus Phlogius, or Selenotypus. :p

Oh yeah, I know of them. I heard about a bloke that caught one and insisted that the Aboriginals eat them and he decided that he will do the same, but the result was that he ended up being extremely ill for days.:spider:
