Since I don't really know his sex I put the man in parenthesis. Anyways he is only a couple months old and VERY sweet. He watches a movie with me every night and usually falls asleep about halfway through(slacker). He has never ever tried to bite and is good about the difference between me and food(as soon as he sees the hemostats he knows its time to eat). I try to spend a minumum of 30-45 minutes with him a day so that he stays nice and calm. His name is Dio(yes after Ronnie James Dio). It was between that and Bruce(after Bruce Dickenson) but I had a poll among my friends and Dio won by a long shot. I am trying to get him used to the dogs, but he books it away from them and sometimes gives them an open mouth hiss and everything. They are especially interested in him since they never get to get close to him. Sometimes now that he really has bonded well with me(hisses at other people, but never ever at me) if I don't take him out by his usual out time he starts to call until I go and get him out. Anyways here are a few pics of him(my favorite being the one where he is passed out on my chest/stomach). Dan.

Well...Ive got a year and change at least before he out grows that, but then he will still be able to sit on the couch and hang out so long as he stays comfortable and behaved. We shall see how he comes along as he gets older. Thanks for the compliment...he is a cute little bastard. My friends girlfriend told me how much she couldnt believe I got him and that she hated them and so on. Then I had to have him go over their house for a few days while I moved some stuff around the house and such, and she didn't want to give him back. I told her she would like him and she didn't believe me. Of course she said she would never go in the same room as a snake and now she has pictures in her house of her, her son and fiance with my retics, my old burms, bloods and such, and even owns two ball pythons now lol. They always cave! Dan M.

I wish they were legal here in California. I had 3 that size dumped on my doorstep durring the night a few years back. I got rid of 2 with the help of a friend who runs a rescue and kept one. He also loved to lay on the bed and watch movies. I had him until he was almost 7' and he was tame as a puppy. Once he got that size and outgrew the bathroom I converted for him I had to get him a new home. Definately one of the pets I miss most.

Here are a few pics of Cupcake...

I am well aware of what I have and grew up around these guys(from Louisiana) and had them when I was younger. Up until now houseing one wasn't really an option, so I havent had one. Now that I am down to less than 10 snakes and in a house 3X's as large as my last one it is feasible. I look forward to him growning up and maintaining this temperment so that he can have a long healthy life here. Who knows, maybe as he gets older and larger I will move somewhere where he can spend the better part of the year outdoors in a more natural setting(gets too cold here a good portion of the year). Anyways thanks for the compliments/comments and I will keep pics coming as he grows and matures. Dan M.
