so my fiance, scott, and i were talking the other day about breeding different species of pythons together. we were wondering if it has ever been done or if it is indeed possibe to breed:

ball and burm?
burm and retic?
ball and blood?
ball and retic?
or anyother combo you can think of?

if anyone can shed some light on our wandering minds, it would be greatly appreciated.

thanx

Other peeps on here don't like the cross mix, but the ballXburm
burmXretic has been done. The Ball and Burm looks really neat and the Burm and Retic is called "Bateaters" I was thinking of getting a Lav Burm to breed with my female. Other than that I dont see what's wrong with the 2 mixes:cool2: I don't think the others have been though..I'll have to do a little research myself on those.

Well what species of animals you wanna work with?
Theres the
python class
Ive seen
Ball X Blood=superball?
Burm X Ball= Dont know the name but think its a burm ball
Ball X Woma=The wall not too much of these
Ball X Iran Jaya carpet=Capalls
Then more hybrids
Carpet X Chondro= Carpondro
Coastal Carpet X macollots=offspring X Jungle Carpet=Jungleot
Retic X burm= Beater? X Retic=Jungle retic
Yellow conda X Green conda or Green conda X Yellow conda= Hybrid condas
There can prolly be a
Woma X Black head cross in the future
thres also I think a Coastal Carpet X Scrub python hybrid and I also think theres been a Chondro X Scrub python cross.... and I think its a Diamond X chondro=Diamondro
I really wouldent start off and rely on the hybrid projects because you might not get what you want some hybrids turn of UGLY! I think some carpondros are ugly and I like them alot! I would start off with a solid project then after a while when you have alot more animals or more animals then just try out the hybrid project
Just my thoughts im saying this because I wanted chondros and carpets and cross breeding them but I found out alot of the eggs dont come out fertile, sometimes you can creat monsters, and could be infertile babys or deffected babys.... Also they sell for alot but not everyone want one, likes one, or will be willing to spend that much on an animal like that....
Just shareing

One thing to remember when you start playing around with hybrids is there's a good chance you'll only get a couple to actually take even out of fullsize clutch (if you get a clutch at all) Hybrids are difficult to breed which explains the high price tag. LOL

Well Ive seen plent of carpondros for over 3000$ when I get my clutch I dont think I will sell anything over 2,000$ I mean seriously I dont think their worth 4000$-5000$

I agree with lance. The idea is cool but there is a lot of trial and error involved... on the snakes part, more than the owner's of course.
But I will say that my favorite hybrid has got to be the Amazon/Emerald tree boa.
