A friend and I went back out taday and found this little Southern Pacific soaking up some sun. He was REALLY small, probably a month or two tops. We didn't get too many good pics because there was a truck trying to pass on the road so we had to hurry and move him. I'll have more later when he emails me the pics from his camera. Enjoy!

It really was perfect timing. The road was about as narrow as the truck and it would've be squashed for sure. Both his eyes were covered with caps from a shed so he wouldn't have been able to see where to go.

Ahhh Brad you don't want one of those. You want one of those green Mojaves they have down there in So. Cali!! Those things are the Sh!t, and are like the 44 magnum of rattlers!!

I'm going out to Victorville Tues and Wed. I'll definately try to get som pic of a few greens. They're everywhere out there... along with a pack of 5 coyotes tht come to you when you whistle... it's a trip, just make sure you have some food for them or you're in trouble!!!

Next time I head out to Vegas I'll definately let you know.
I'm going to a visit a friend who lives out in the desert. There's all kinds of critters to mess with out at his house.

I've been trying to find them this year but I think it's just not warm enough. I've been out about 10 times this year and all I've seen is Southern Pacifics. It's just a matter of time though. Where I go they're everywhere from June on.
