Over the past two days, I have gotten into a few arguments with some friends and strangers about who the better pitcher is. Bobby Jenks, or Joba Chamberlain.

I say Chamberlain hands down! He has dominating stuff and is very difficult to hit. I believe he is the next closer for the Yankees when Mariano Rivera retires.

Take a look at the stats yourself and you decide.

Bobby Jenks:

Joba Chamberlain:

I believe the last headline I read was "Joba The Hot". He is definetly the man right now! In my opinion people are generally enthusiastic to find flaws in any regards to the Yankees, not many people want to be caught dead saying anything good about the Yankees, or anyone affiliated with the Yankees. You love em or hate em!

I can honestly say, I have NEVER heard of him. And I follow baseball a lot!

I disagree.

I think Eric Gagne was the best closer the Dodgers ever had. That record of 84 consecutive saves is going to last a long time.

But he sucks now that he's with the Brewers and has Bozo the Clown hair...

Dodgers threw his arm out. Joba made me mad tonight with him being nice to the Indians and giving up that 3 run bomb.

I think people are to hard on Gagne. I live in Mlwaukee and while he has blown the most games in the NL he is also leading with the most saves in the league. He is unfourtanetly the only bullpen they have so he's carrying alot of the load. But who talks about the Brewers outside of Milwaukee anyways!!! LOL

Actually, Jason Isringhausen is leading the league in saves. Even though he has blown just as many saves as Gagne.

My mistake (my stats were a day or two old) I think Izzy's definitely one of my favorite pitchers. That could just be cause I am a Cardinals fanatic!

Didn't the cards take Isringhausen out of their closer roll?

That was the Brewers. They took Gagne out as closer.

Well I guess they both were then...

And what's funny is Isringhausen led the league in saves...

Gagne is closing again, he closed a couple days ago. Unfourtanetly I am undergoing the final stages of a major expansion and work and its makin it hard to follow the cards, so I can't really comment on Izzy either way.
