Sweetness...

My second clutch of eggs from a WC female was 6 eggs, 0 slugs. I was happy with that. Less than a week ago, I was inspecting the eggs and found one to be miscolored. It was less than a week until hatching time, so I decided to cut it. Apparently it died in the egg. Its umbilical cord wasn't attatched to the yolk. So I went from 6 snakes, to 5. No biggie, still have more clutches to come.












































Today I pull the tub out of the incubator to find this

Sweet! Congrats! If you could, once they all emerge from the eggs, could you get a pic of the twins next to one of the other hatchlings from the clutch? I've always thought it was interesting to see how much smaller the twins are when compared to the others.

I was suspecting of twins for like the past two days. I kept thinking "that's gonna be a long @$$ snake!" or "looks like twins."

I'll take the twins... as long as they're female :D

Both the twins are out. And BOTH are males...

The smaller one weighs in at 47 grams, the larger 50 grams. So far 3.1 is out... ouch!

Wow, AJ! Even though they are males, they are still a pretty good size for being twins! They're nothing close to what I've seen before--most twins are about half the size of their clutchmates, but those two aren't that much smaller than the girl. Congrats even though they aren't females! ;)

Most of the babies weighed 80+ grams. These two were the smallest. Another was like 60-70.

The final baby out of the egg was male... again. 4.2 in all. The nicest ones are male! Gt a nice banded MALE, granite MALE, blackback granite MALE and a normal looking male. Time to update the site and put them up on the 'availability'....
