:D:panda:Ok like the title said no pics this is just for kicks! lolz
Ok well today at the reptile store where I buy my rats/mice from ( im waiting till rodent pro has the right mice/rats so I can order all at the same time..)
Anyway I know the people their and they let me see all the animals so I got to play with a adult Brband they are pretty STRONG! and cool too! Nice colors on them!
I played with a couple of tortoises ( red foots ) they are cool too!
a couple of camelons and I got to touch a mertens water monitor ( you dont see much of these around ) and a lace monitor ( another rare monitor) and well then I played with this baby water monitor they told me I could get it out of its cage if I wanted and OFCOURSE I did! Well I got him out ( after chaseing him for 2 min in his cage ) and HE BIT ME!! LMAO it was funny beacuse it dident hurt but he bit me 3 times and he is a little $h!t!!!
For some werid reason I wanted to take him home they were selling him for 150$ But they were gonna give me a discount! and would give me him for 100 + food witch was like 28$$ soo in totall like 130$$ I wanted to take him home SOOO BADLY!! But I dident have the space and money for him :( Now I want a water monitor!!!
I think im going to wait around a year and a half ( or atleast till I build my albigs full enclosure and ) and then wait a little longer and get one of thoes little suckers!
Werid but I really liked that little guy!
He was small too he was around 8inches!
and he had the nerve to bite me!! When I could eat him in one bite lmao!
Anyways have you guys ever had a fun/funny experience with monitors?
By the way the store I go to have a nice selection of monitors!
They have an argus,2 ackies,1 lace monitor, 1 mertens water,2 asian waters ( one sub-adult and one baby ),2 yellow tree monitors, 1 blue tree monitor, and 1 black tree monitor, and one ''hypo nile'' I got to play with 1 yellow tree,1 asian,1 ornate ( when they had it ) , 1 black tree and the lace monitor, and a 2+ft black throat at their store! Talk about monitors with differnt characteristics and attitudes lolz
For the tree monitors they have HUGE CLAWS especially the yellow tree and THEY ARE FAST!!!
The black tree was pretty calm... The ornate was pretty calm too, their savs calm, their bt calm, the lace mean!!,the mertens MEAN!!!,and the baby water funny, scared and I LOVE HIM!
This is just for fun and im board lolz

I don't know if it's all that funny, but when I had one of my Blackthroats we were hanging out on the floor and I let him climb up my chest and onto my shoulder where he proceded to bite me in the neck! LOL So for the next week I had a lizard hicky....of which my wife gave me crap about cheating on her with the lizard...women..LOL

They're great and definately worth getting.
I knkow a guy who owns an office building here in town and in his office he wanted a big show piece cage with a water monitor in it and he hired me to build it for him. I got him a baby which he was terrified to hold because this one always crapped on him when he got it out.... he decided it was just gonna be his "show lizard". There was a pet store across the street that he got the food and supplies for, but he hired a guy that worked there to come over to his office every couple days to take care of thr monitor.
One day I was in the pet store talking with the owner and we both looked out the window to see the employee walking back from across the street with his shirt shredded and the whole front of his pants was covered in Water Monitor crap!!!. The monitor, now about 4' had gotten out while he was cleaning the cage and when he caught it the monitor freaked out, clawed at his shirt and then when the guy finally had him it crapped all over him.... a pretty funny sight to see.

LOL....nah he wasn't bad, it was in the initial stages when we were getting to know eachother I gave him a bit more slack that I should've it was a test bite to see if he could eat it. LOL
There's comes a time when (or least with me there was) where the collection was growing beyond control, and I decided to get more specialized....so I stayed with the first loves of my life (snakes) and everything else went...except Milo I have a real soft spot for Alligator Snappers...LOL

I've had 5-6' Water monitors on 2 different occasions, a 3' savannah and a 5' nile and I've really like having them all.

If I had a dollar for everytime I've said, or thought that....
I'd have enough dollars to buy my white snake and my retics wouldn't be so mad at me for soaking them in the bleach :p

LOL....I hear that! Though I've found since I'm not as diversified as I used to be, things are a bit more easy to handle.
