View Full Version : female wolf spider?????

well my brother found this spider in our bathroom so he caught it and told me to find out what it is lol. i'm pretty sure it's a female wolf spider, but i'm not to good with spiders.

of course he had to try and feed it a moth. and i'm pretty sure the sand isn't good but he put her on it so i just wanna find out what she is.

oh and also she keeps digging. is she trying to make a burrow or something?

Wolf Spider, for sure ;)

They'll eat anytttthiiiing :p Even other spiders; which they're well known for!

You should flip a few rocks in your backyard and see if you can find any sow-bug killers. :D

Agreed...definitely a wolf spider, they do make neat little tunnels out of webbing and dirt if provided.

A substrate of peat moss or eco-earth and cypress mulch would suit it better than sand.

i've never had spiders but i didn't think sand was all that good...and my brother wanted to keep her lol although we have a lot of these guys around house. they are always out in the summer.

haha we have wolf spiders everywhere..and a ton more. i'll have to get pics of all the different spiders on our porch lol
