So, I have this Rosy that I caught last week. It has anasty cut on it's tail so I'm gonna keep it around until it's better and then let it go where I found it.

I've never had one before so I looked up the care and I've got it set up just the way i've read on a buch of different web care sheets.
Do any of you keep rosy's or have in the past? If so, any info out of the basics that I should know would be appreciated.

P.S.
I put a young hopper mouse in there yesterday and it showed no interest in it at all so I left it in there over night (it wasn't big enough to hurt the snake) and this morning it still hadn't eaten it, so a few minutes ago I gave it a whack and now it gobbled it down right away. Doesn't that seem weird that a wild snake showed no interest in live prey but went crazy for p/k?

I just keep mine in one of my racks. Small water dish (some only offer water once a week but I feel it's good to give them access to it at all times). Mine have a hot spot in the low 90s. Just keep it on the dry side for it. Any specific questions, let me know!

Yeah Rosies are pretty easy man, got one myself.

Though my cage setup is slightly more elaborate than Matt's...LOL both systems work well the biggest thing with them is not too much humidity....which shouldn't be an issue since you caught him..LOL

They can be weird eaters though....I'm not all that surprised by that one.

Generally I run mine around 80F she has a hot spot available but never uses it. Drops into the mid 70s at night won't bother them a bit.

ya, the eatiing thing threw me off. I have a really small bowl for water. It seems to be doing good. The cuts are clean and starting to scab so I'll probably set it lose next week
