Here,s my ? My first clutch of eggs are 56 days old should I cut the top of the eggs like I've seen in some of the pics in the pic threads. 1 of the worst looking eggs (dented in severely) now this morning is puffed back out & slit a little. I can feel him/her moving when I touch the egg.
So should I cut all the tops???
All I can say is,
I cut all my eggs. Either when I see one crack. Then I cut the rest of them. Or if I know the amount of time that is needed.
Example.
My Woma's. Hatching time for me at 88 deg. is 60. So at 60 days, I cut them.
Like I said. I know what the correct time that was needed for them.
But, It is all up to you. You need to be comfortable with what you do.
Hope that helps.

you can cut at 55 days but you have to be real careful not to cut through the veins or the baby of coarse congrats on the clutch

Lots of people cut the eggs - but you don't need to - they can do it on their own.
It's pretty much a personal preferance. Some folks do, and some folks dont, lol. :)
