I have started taking Willamena (boa in my avatar) out for little outings a lot more frequently now (3 or 4 times a week). She seems to wait by the front of her cage now a lot more. When I have her outside I have to watch what I walk near because she investigates EVERYTHING!:peace: She is not in the least bit alarmed by people or other animals. Is this just because of more frequent handling? I have been working on Spike my monitor like that and it seems to be more outgoing now also.

In my personal experience I have noticed the snakes I handle more than others seem to want out more and be less alarmed about anything going on around them. I have a green burm that went balistic the first time I took him outside but is slowly calming down with more handling. I would say your results are a by product of more and more handling.

Usually the more they are handled and exposed to other things, the more at ease and used to it they become.
Granted there are exceptions, but in general that's pretty much the way things work. LOL

All true. All my snakes love to come outside. My female albino tiger actually likes to curl up in the yard next to my dog and has no other interest in her or anything else. She does it everytime. Sometimes the dog lies there and even licks the snake... It's kinda wierd LOL
