I looked around for a time I should quarantine a new addition to my family, but saw a lot of different times. I have a new male boa from a friend ready to breed to my female. I have him set up in another room. I fully treated him for mites (precaution) and set him up in his cage. I just need a time I should keep them apart for safety.

I have all my new animals see a vet. As soon as I get an ok from my vet they join the rest of my collection. It all depends on how soon they do there buisness so I can have a fecal float done.

Yeah cool, I was thinking at least one shed. He is a little over 4 feet. He came from a collection that is used in movies.... So you might have seen him already..... LOL. He does not even flinch on handling.....

Thanks! I do have a local reptile vet that even does saturdays.... I guess I am lucky.....
Unless I know and trust the source 100%, I quarantine for a minimum of 90 days.
I usually quarantine at home for at least 30 days. At work, our animals are quarantine for a minimum of 90 days. If results of their tests come back positive for something, they have to start over and do another 90 days after treatment.
