Mouth Rot

I was at the local shop this evening and a guy stopped in with a beautiful female boa..... He was asking what it might be, but when I saw its mouth when holding and looking, I kinda stopped short..... I will begin the story again after I wash my hands for the 88th time..... This poor baby had mouth rot.... I have seen it in pics but I could not believe how bad I felt when I saw it in person..... The snake did not seem in pain, and it did not seem quite as advanced as the nasty pics I have seen here. But I told the guy take care of it! Yesterday!

i hate to hear a story like that...poor baby, hope she'll be ok. i was in the local pet shop today and saw a boa with really dialated eyes, i was already holding him before i noticed...it was probably nothing as he was acting healthy...but i immediately thought possible IBD and put him back and used the in-store sanitizer all the way up my arms... you can't ever be too careful
