My male pastel Sunny has gotten out of his cage I have been looking for him since 5:00 this morning. I have gone to buy a rat so that I can hopefully intice him out of were ever he is hiding.
Stacey
Good luck! Hope you find him soon!

I did this once and it worked with my loose snake.
Buy a couple fuzzies or small mice and put them in a 5 gallon water bottle and lay it on it's side by the snakes cage. As long as the mice aren't big they shouldn't be able to jump out because the sides are smooth and angled. As long as your snake isn't too fat to fit through the hole it might work

Boy have we been there several times. Kaa was once missing for 3 months. We tried the "enticing thing" but it never worked for us. We would always find ours in some weird place. The pantry floor, our son's closet, around a Katana sword handle up on the fireplace bricks . . . They play a mean game of hide and seek. Good luck!

Good luck I've been there a few times myself and it can be a chore trying to catch them.

I am so sorry Stacey! I wish I could be of more help, but here's all the advice I can offer you: don't always just look in the warm places. My large normal male got out twice (it's been a few years) and both times I found him curled up under the dresser where his tank was sitting, and probably the coldest spot in the house! So check everywhere. ;) Good luck in finding him!

Ok, I was to embarrased to say anything but I know how you feel. I am going through the same thing right now with one of my rainbows. We still dont know how the hell she got out. We live in a duplex and the neighbor people dont like snakes. Mainly the ones in there house. I know she is here. Its a new place with no way outside and its only a matter of time before she shows up. Its whos house she shows up in thats going to be the kicker. There is one hole leading to the other duplex though. By the look of the dust the little shit found the damn hole. I got to meet my new neighbors by telling them. We are acually friends now though. LOL
Anyway, here are some things I have done.
1) look very close to ANY dust. It will give you a sign if the snake passed by. I even made another snake crawl across some dust so I could see what it looked like.
2) Notice any cobb webbs. Are they broke? If there are a bunch of cobb webs the snake will break them on its way through a hole. If they are not broke, look there anyway.
3) Keep an eye on anything "out of place". I noticed something knocked off a speaker. This gave me a direction to look.
4) I put flower down in all the places I had to move something to look behind.(stove, fridge, ect...) If the snake passes over the flower you can tell. Again giving you a direction.
5) Dont give up hope. The snake is programed to survive and can do it for a long time without food, water, heat. I have been amazed at some stories I have heard about snakes showing up 7-8 months later, just chilling.
Best of luck to you.

Well I found where Sunny shed today. But still no Sunny. I have torn my house apart looking for him and even rearanged every room in the house hoping that I would find him under some piece of furniture so still going to have to wait and see if he comes out one night while I am up waiting for him.

Had an idea. Could you leave a bowl of water out to entice it and surround it with baking soda? Would the baking soda hurt a snake? It would track on the snake, maybe giving an idea of where its gone.

I'm sure you have already but don't forget to check in furniture. I've had them bury themselves in sofas. Be specifically careful with anything that may recline. Also closets (between linens) I've had em hide there to! Good luck.

Hey at the store I work at, the women are always losing the snakes. One was gone for almost two months, a lady customer found it. If it isn't soon it will be eventual.
