swollen hognose, check it out (D.U warning)

OK so I noticed yesterday that one of my hognose females was swollen real bad on the back end. I thought maybe she just had a good ol poo building up. So I decided to let her have a night and I would try to soak her today. Went to look at her today, some of the size was gone but still pretty swollen on the hind end still. So I took her out of her tub and soaked her in hopes of working the poo out of her maybe. This is what she looked like today:

Lookd bad to me so I soaked her for about an hour. As I was about to put her back into her tub I was looking in it getting it new water and what not when what did I see....what could this be........I found 2 eggs????? no way I told my self. I didn't even breed her this year. I was going to wait till next year when I got back from Iraq to do all of that. So anyhow I got to feeling on her, she still has at least 2 eggs in her and maybe 3. I had remembered when my dog had gotten into my male hognose cage and he bit her that I put him in with her tempararily till I got his cage back up to par. I guess that is all it took?!?!?! So what did I do? called my sister to tell her I beat her to having eggs like a good younger brother should. Then ran to Wal Mart to get some perlite since we can't find vermiculite anywhere in town. Got it home set up the perlite with the water squeezed it out made it clumpy, and put it into the glade tupperware type tub. Called Brad to double check I had things right and see if I really needed the moss over the top like he had in his with his corn eggs. With his advice and some looking around I think I have it figured out. But a few quick pictures right?? here are the eggs:

I'm not sure about the boob looking egg, but I have heard of worse eggs hatching so in the tub it went. I will try to keep you guys up to date, but I leave in a week for Ft. Polk, La. Good think I have someone smart looking after my snakes and now EGGS while I'm gone! Thanks again Brad, hope you cought a few fish!

Well I am still waiting little brother. Blush is starting to move away from the heated end of her cage not too far away from it but not right on top of it like she had been. Oh and by the way are you willing to give your big sister a baby hognose since I gave you the daddy 10 years ago...???

Ahhhhhh the suprise eggs! LOL Well hope she passes the rest for ya Chuck. That's a damn fine looking Hognose...very light in coloration....you'll have to let me know if you get hatchlings....I could use a nice looking bloodline like that.

You'll know pretty quick if they fertile or good....they'll go bad within a day or 2 if they aren't any good.

Poor little girl! But congrats on the eggs!!!! She's a pretty gal and would love to see what she produces.

Ok since Chuck posted the pictures it's been a while and now I'm getting a little worried, because she still hasn't passed the remaining eggs yet! :(I try to check on her without disturbing her and just give her time, but nothing so far...and chuck's not here so anybody can tell me what to do or give me a pointer??? How long can I sit and wait before it becomes potentially dangerous for the snake?:confused:

Has she went through her post lay shed yet?

I actually had a corn that hung onto 2 slugs and didn't pass them till her post lay shed about 2 weeks after she laid the rest of her clutch.

no actually since you mentioned it, she hasn't yet....and she looks ok so far, just hangs out on the warm end of her enclosure, but no no shed so far...
