Oscar is my little ove a year old WDB rattler. He has been a joy to have in the house and watch and learn from. He is my only "hot-hot" that I have. I have 4 hoggies but I don't really count them at venomous..... Any how here are the two videos and the pics I have of him from the other week.
***WARNING*** do not try this at home. It could land you in the hospital with a large bill or a coffin. Free handling venomous reptiles is very dangerous and should be left to those with experiencs, danm good insurance, and no fear of meeting their maker. :rip:

Pretty interesting Videos and shots!
Certainly is a nice looking WDB too...about 1 1/2 year to 2 years old?

Nice lookin' snake!! And thanks for the disclaimer but I'd like to add for any beginners out there that free-handling is actually never necessary for most people out there. There are safe ways to transport and handle them without doing this. Just feel it's my job to put this out there.

Thats always the goal with a hot right? I don't do this often, he 99.9% of the time is at the end of the snake hook when I move him for cage cleaning. I did this because someone asked me if I could free handle him. The anwser is yes, but not something I practice often. You know what they say about playing with fire.....
This is actually only the 3rd time I have freehandled him in well over a year of having him.

I was lucky enough to have my brother-in-law catch it and keep it in a 5 gal bucket then call me and want me to go look at it to tell him what it was. I got it last Aug. and it was pretty small only the button and I'm guessing he was about a week or 2 old when I got him. I've had him 14 months so I call him just over a year. Most rattlers around here drop babies in July to mid Aug give or take. And I got him in the first 10 days of Aug last year so age is not precice but a close guess.
Thanks for all the comments guys!

He wasn't even suppose to keep Oscar! He was only supose to show his kids and get rid of him. But he has turned out to be a really cool snake. Too bad I had a baby at the time or I would have kept it for myself!:p But a 2 year old is to curious about the bp's I have and chucks kids know not to mess with him. Mine I still have to swat on her bottom to leave her snake alone. But she loves them so much.
