Not quite as good as Round 1, but I was expecting both these girls to completely slug out because of the time frame. Was both of their first clutch, and both males were kinda young.. and they were super late. Anyways first yellow girl layed 19 but only 9 good, these are the "cream heads" that Ash always asks about.

And a bittersweet marble clutch, four and four and then she went eggbound. I've talked to my vet about it and were going in next week to see if he can palpitate her.

Don't really like clutches like these, but at least we got something. Of course neither liked their lay boxes either. Hopefully my marble girl will be ok, my vet is the shiznit so she is in good hands none the less.

Hopefully I can post some hatchling pics here soon too!

According to my vet worst plausible case scenario is he will have to do surgery.. which will hurt my wallet more than her most likely. Always be prepared for the worst though.. I think we will be able to palpitate her without much trouble, she isn't too big... as long as that goes smoothly I'll be fine.

So I dropped her off at the vet yesterday. He did surgery this morning. Everything went fine and as planned. Apparently there were two slugs stuck together and one other slug turned sidways, all trying to get through at the same time. He pulled out twelve eggs and said six looked like they could possibly be viable.

Waiting til tomorrow to pick her up to make sure she comes off the sedative fine before she leaves the vet. All the eggs were moved down fine aside from the ones blocking, non stuck to the ovaduct or anything (which was a concern).

He just had to make a small incision in the lower ovaduct to remove the eggs. She has to take next season off but aside from that she should be fine and able to reproduce in the future. Will have to keep a close eye on her for awhile though.

I now own the most expensive marble on the planet as well

Argh vet bills, but at least she is okay! AND you might have some extra marbles to help pay off her surgery :-)
