I would like to say thank you to all our members from the management staff here at My Reptile Planet. In one weeks time we have almost hit 100 members and over 4000 posts. The site still hasn't had an official grand opening yet and we are already off to a good start.
We have had to work out some bugs here and there and will actually be moving servers in a couple days to make sure there is very little, if any, down time in the future and to cope with what we are hoping will be a very busy forum. The move will be painless but just in case there is a problem we will be letting everyone know when it happens. Nothing will change, the domain will stay the same and all of your posts will be here when we move. If all goes well no one will even notice when it happens.
We have put the package together for the first photo contest. The contest will be for members only and only the members will get to vote. No admins will be involved except to hand out the prize. The contest will start on Nov. 1 and run through Dec. 31. Trust me you don't want to miss this one as the package is huge but we won't tell whats in it until Nov. 1. There will also be a theme involved in the contest so don't start taking pictures just yet.
Once we move we are looking at adding a photo host and galleries for the members and a chat room as requested along with a list of other add ons for the site that will make it more enjoyable for the members.
Make sure you guys keep the sugestions coming because we really do want to hear what you guys want. While we may run the place you guys are what make it work.
