So the new girl I got a couple of weeks ago has fluid blisters under scales. When I run my finger over the scale the blister pops and the contents are clear but snotty. They dont seem to affect her but they arent going away. As you may know I got her from some people that didnt house their snakes very well. She was a bit dirty when I got her. Should I give it a little more time and see if it just runs it course or.....?

When we got in a group of wild caughts, most of them had this. It was from incessant soaking. We gave them all smaller water dishes (so they couldn't soak) and a hide. It cleared up pretty quickly.

So it should go away then. She has a normal size bowl(she cant fit in it). Ill just keep an eye on it.

i was afraid of this happening when our granite burm Reaper kept soaking in his water dish. but since his 2 week long bath, he hasnt had any bugs. i have read about these blisters occuring from them soaking too long. also from unclean habitats.

They will go away....there was actually a lady who posted the same issue a while back....they disappeared after the next shed.

They arent the same as julius had. hers were on the scale these are under the scales. Sounds like they have the same fluid just not on the face of the scale. Ill give her a little while. she is in shed right now. She eats like a champ. She converted to rabbits first try and ate around 10 pounds the first time. they dont seem to bother her. She looks like hell right now tho lol. Blue eyes, face is all cut up from the rat that bit her(previous owner*****), and she has blister. She had mites when I got her, could the be infected bites? Ive never heard of it but ya know....

Definitely could be a minor bacterial infection from mites depending on how afflicted she was....can always break out the Neosporin and use it as a just in case thing.
