I am totally in love with these creatures, and eventually I want to breed them. I was thinking about getting two breeding pairs, but I am not sure if i want to get homozygous animals or het animals, or one of each. Once I figure a cost effective way to get the animals, I can plan the rest of it. Any help is always and greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
Hets are the more economical way to start off. But basically go the route that best fits your situation, and/or what you personally want to get out of the breedings. With each combination of het and homozygous pairings resulting in different percentages, its a decision that can vary from person to person, etc. Also, take into consideration the market for the resulting offspring.

Jim makes a good point about considering what you're going to get from the adults. Some times it's easier to sell all the babies if you have a variety of hets and morphs because of the range in market price. If it's your 1st time breeding I would start with a pair of hets or at least on being a het. If the season is succesful for you and you get comfortable with the whole process, you can use some of your profits from the babies to expand youe collection.
